Traffic/Moving Violations

It's not unusual for one to receive a citation for speeding or some other traffic offense in North Carolina. Most people do not challenge tickets, because they are unaware of the full implications of having traffic violations on their record. Our firm has successfully represented numerous clients in fighting traffic violations and avoiding lost privileges and increased insurance premiums.

In North Carolina, driving privileges are assessed on a point system. Insurance companies use a similar point system in combination with other factors like age, region, and state guidelines to determine insurance rates. Over time, accumulated points can cause increased premiums and/or revoked driving privileges. See the table below for violation point penalties.
