Suspended/Revoked License

Your North Carolina driver's license may be suspended or revoked for numerous reasons - DUI/DWI conviction, excessive speeding, accumulated points due to traffic violations, and more.

Driving with a revoked license (DWLR) is a Class 1 misdemeanor that could result in an additional suspension of driving privileges for 12 months if charged and convicted. Your licence may be permanently revoked if you are convicted of three moving violation while your license is suspended. You will have to appear in court and could face jail time. Your insurance rate will most likely increase 2-3x your normal rate.

If you have lost your driving privileges, continuing to operate a motor vehicle is a huge a mistake. Courts realize that you may need to drive in order "make a living", so there are circumstances under which you may regain limited driving privileges.
